I have an Dell that is 5 years old. When I purchased it, the person that sold it said that it had a graphics card that was fine with FSX. It wasn't. I purchased a dual video card that made it better but never as good as I wanted.

It's time to buy a new desktop. I want the best possible video card and ram possible. the problem is that my limit is $500. That being said, I don't need the package, IE, monitor, keyboard and mouse. I got all that. I just need a tower.

To be honest, I don't know exactly what I need. I'm into playing games, not into the technical aspect of a computer, but I would love any help that you could give me.

Thanks

Jim just for info, FSX is very dependant on the processor, the bigger the better. If you have a 1gb graphics card you'll be fine. I would recommend a good i5 or i7 7th gem processor. Hope this helps... AD

But when you said ultimate FSX do you mean you're getting payware addons too. Because they're better quality (usually) they need better graphics card. Can you answer that before I recommend something? And as amberdog1 said a good CPU is a must if you want good performance.
