The Boeing Company is a major aerospace and defense corporation, founded by William E. Boeing in Seattle, Washington. Boeing has expanded over the years, merging with McDonnell Douglas in 1997. Its international headquarters has been in Chicago, Illinois, since 2001. Boeing is the largest global aircraft manufacturer by revenue, orders and deliveries, and the second largest aerospace and defense contractor in the world. Boeing is the largest exporter by value in the United States. Its stock is a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

North American Aviation was a major US aerospace manufacturer, responsible for a number of historic aircraft, including the T-6 Texan trainer, the P-51 Mustang fighter, the B-25 Mitchell bomber, the F-86 Sabre jet fighter, and the X-15 rocket plane, as well as Apollo Command and Service Module, the second stage of the Saturn V rocket, the Space Shuttle orbiter and the B-1 Lancer. It is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Lockheed Martin employs 146,000 people worldwide. Robert J. Stevens is the current Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer. Lockheed Martin is the world's largest defense contractor by revenue as of 2008. In 2005, 95% of Lockheed Martin's revenues came from the United States Department of Defense, other U.S. federal government agencies, and foreign military customers. A team led by prime contractor Lockheed Martin won the 2006 Collier Trophy for the development of the F-22 Raptor fighter jet.

The de Havilland Canada company was an aircraft manufacturer with facilities based in what is now the Downsview area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The original home of de Havilland Canada is now the home of the Toronto Aerospace Museum located in what is now Parc Downsview Park. The aircraft company was created in 1928 by British de Havilland Aircraft Company to build Moth aircraft for the training of Canadian airmen, and subsequently after the Second World War, designed and produced indigenous designs. After a number of company changes, Bombardier Inc. sold the rights to the out-of-production aircraft (DHC-1 through DHC-7) to Viking Air Ltd. of Sidney, British Columbia, in May 2005.

Embraer (IPA: [ẽbɾaˈɛɾ], short for Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica, S. A. English: Brazilian Aeronautics Company, Inc.), is a Brazilian aerospace conglomerate. The company produces commercial, military, and corporate aircraft, and provides related aerospace services. From 1999 to 2001 it was Brazil's largest exporter and is still one of the three main exporters in Brazil. The company's headquarters, main production facilities, and engineering/design offices are in São José dos Campos, São Paulo. Embraer also has a production plant and flight testing facility in Gavião Peixoto, São Paulo. This facility includes a 16,400-foot (5,000 m) runway, the third-longest in the world.

Bombardier Aerospace is a division of Bombardier Inc.. It is the third largest aircraft company in the world in terms of yearly delivery of commercial airplanes overall, and the fourth largest in terms of yearly delivery of regional jets. It is headquartered in Ville-Marie, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Antonov ASTC is a state-owned commercial company.

ATR (Avions de Transport Régional or Aerei da Trasporto Regionale) is a French-Italian aircraft manufacturer. It was formed in 1981 by Aérospatiale of France (now EADS) and Aeritalia (now Alenia Aeronautica) of Italy.[1] Its primary products are the ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft. Alenia Aeronautica's manufacturing facilities in Pomigliano d'Arco, near Naples, Italy produce the aircraft fuselage and tail sections. Aircraft wings are assembled at EADS Sogerma in Bordeaux in western France for Airbus France. Final assembly, flight-testing, certification and deliveries are the responsibility of ATR in Toulouse, France
