737 Classic multi pack problem
Love this pack, especially the realistic sounds, enhanced cockpit lighting and more.
There seems to be an issue with it suddenly pitching up to almost a stall position in the climb. Also thrust on takeoff roll is painfully slow to accelerate, with or without auto thrust. Have a difficult time getting to even 140 on the takeoff roll. Judging by some of the comments on the download page, I’m not the only one with this issue.
Any info on a fix or workaround would be appreciated.
This is the second time I have read about this problem, it would seem that what is not an issue for 737-800 is an issue with the older generation of this model. It really is easy to fix...Go to the CFG file for the aircraft, and scroll down to the [Engine] section look for the line Static_Thrust= Change the thrust rating up 4000 Example If it reads Static_Thrust= 22980 Add 4000 pounds of thrust so it reads Static_Thrust= 26980 then save. I think you will find it works well.
Hello , Okay click on your windows icon or start at the bottom left side of your screen, go to computer, select drive C / program x86 , microsoft , the there should be a file FSX, open it and there is a long list...select SimObjects, then select Airplanes .... Here is where your aircraft for FSX are stored... find the aircraft you are looking for on the list..open the file and in that list is aircraft cfg This is the CFG file . if you need any more help let me know. It would be good to know what version of windows you have. Since you have never opened a cfg file before right click on it and select open with "notepad[/color]"
Here is an example of the section you will be looking for :
I pulled this from CRJ-700
fuel_flow_gain = 0.002 //Gain on fuel flow
inlet_area = 19.6 //Square Feet, engine nacelle inlet area
rated_N2_rpm = 29920 //RPM, second stage compressor rated value
static_thrust = 28000
afterburner_available = 0 //Afterburner available?
reverser_available = 1 //Thrust reverser available?
ThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 0.385 //Thrust specific fuel consumption (Jets)
AfterBurnThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 0 //TSFC with afterburn/reheat engaged
