Is there anyone here who is able to design a concept aircraft for the community? I'm looking for someone to design a Long range Turbo prop Capable of carrying cargo / Pax over a distance of 3500 NM At a relatively high speed. I'd like to use this in Air hauler 2 so its MTOW I think cant go above 3 million maybe, If anyone can help let me know, we can upload it to rikooo for everyone to use?
Hello, Yes I can help you use an existing aircraft you are using and show you how to adjust the aircraft cfg file to increase the range and the speed of your aircraft. If you have never opened a cfg file before to locate it depends on what version of P3D you have. Version 1,2,and 3 should be in Program x(86) within your computer. If you have P3Dv4 installed it is located in your standard Program files folder under Lockheed Martin. Now I need to know if your hauler is prop or jet. If it is a prop, then I need to know if it is a turbo version. Without this information I can only lead you with an example : I will take a standard 2 engine prop for this exorcise . Once you open the Lockheed Martin Folder, scroll down to simobjects, open it and then you will find the airplanes folder , open it and find the aircraft you wish to to modify. Once you open the aircraft folder you have selected there will be a file market aircraft cfg . If this is the first time you have opened a cfg file, right click on it and open with "notepad" If the program claims you need permission to do so, then just click and drag the whole aircraft folder to your desktop so you can make the changes.

Step one changing your max weight
max_gross_weight = 5090 // (pounds) Increase 5090 by 2000 so it reads 7090

Step 2 Increasing your range
engine_type = 0 //0=Piston, 1=Jet, 2=None, 3=Helo-Turbine, 4=Rocket, 5=Turboprop
Engine.0 = -0.15, 0.0, 0.0 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum
fuel_flow_scalar= 1.0 //Fuel flow scalar To double the range change 1.0 so it reads 0.48
min_throttle_limit = 0.0 //Minimum percent throttle. Generally negative for turbine reverser
Step 3 Increase engine power
power_scalar = 1.0 //Piston power scalar
cylinder_displacement= 109.4 //Cubic inches per cylinder
compression_ratio= 6.0 //Compression ratio
number_of_cylinders=9 //Number of cylinders
max_rated_rpm= 2300 //Max rated RPM
max_rated_hp= 450 //Max rated HP change 450 to a higher number in this case I will add 200 hp so 450 becomes 650
