Hi - I'm John from the south coast of the UK. Now retired, my first flight simulator was run on a ZX81, loaded by tape, and consisted of a B737 (well the altimeter and the ASI) represented by very blocky graphics flying between block A and block B in black and white - and if you did it right you saw the "scenery", another black blob called C. Inspiring stuff. Since then I've had every Flightsim that Microsoft has produced, progressing through a variety of computers from an 8086 through 384, 486, Pentium, plus a few more, to my current I7. I've got a private licence on which I have a couple of hundred hours on 152s and PA28s - no longer current due to the cost of flying here in the UK. My son also used the Flightsims, got the bug and learned to fly, and now with 4000 hours under his belt on (real) A319/320s is just about to go for his Captain's ticket. Came across Rickoooo by the freeware Canary Islands scenery which is very impressive - so many thanks for that. Great to see an English page as despite living no more than 50 miles from France my understanding of their language is far from good.

At this point I am as much a student as I have ever been. It may take me a bit to get all the ins and outs of FSX but anytime I can help someone It will be a great pleasure for me to do so.

Blue Skies everyone..

Hiya's, my name screen name is PAYSON. I've been using computer simulators for quite a while now, dating back to used copy of Ubisoft's Sturmovik IL2. Moved on to 10 years in WarBirds (actually helped them with a cockpit of a fighter they wanted to introduce in the game. I also wore out some peripherals playing Ubisoft's more advanced combat sims. I moved on to about 5 years in World of Tanks, still play it. (gets expensive) I've used FSX for about 8 or 9 years and fell in love with their format. I'm still involved with WoT and still shoot-em-up in Ubisoft. Now that I found out about you folks, it's great to have a huge selection of planes to fly.
Back to the clouds,
Regards, PAYSON
