I have downloaded and installed the Canary Islands Scenery part1 and 2. The first impression when I started flying with FSX Steam Edition at La Palma (GCLA) was great. Very nice scenery!!
I then tried more airports and I encountered some problems which I would like to solve with your help. On the runway of Tenerife South (GCTS) there seems to be an altitude problem or conflict between the scenery and the runway, because on some parts of the runway mountains pop up and seem to block the runway?? When I taxi through the mountain the rest of the runway appears with all kind of elements on top of it?? When I look to the airport from the air, every thing seems to be okay. Unfortunately the same problem happens on the airport of Los Rodeos (GCXO) . One last remark: the runways on Gran Canaria (GCLP) look very basic. There are no runway numbers and no white stripes left and right of the runway. The runway is just like a black line. This is much less than the basic flightsim runway looks.
I hope my description is clear and I hope to hear some suggestions to solve these issues.
The problems with the airport GCTS and GCXO have been solved by running the ORBX Vector Configuration tool applying i.e disabling the Airport Elevation Corrections for GCTS and GCXO. The only problem that remains are the details of the runways of airport GCLP. I look forward to your suggestions for this.
