FSX Gold, Boxed
After upgrading to windows 8.1, I finally was able to load MSFS X. However I'm having trouble loading add-on scenery files. When I was running FSX under windows XP, I had no real trouble loading and using add-on scenery files. But after loading in windows 8.1 things don't seem to work as well, for example, Tyler Newport's "Fly Delta Jets" sign on the TOC hanger in ATL. I loaded it the same way as before but it doesn't appear. Are there changes to how things are done if FSX is in 8.1? Does the "Boxed, Gold Edition" require the service paks 1 & 2? Any help appreciated.

Adding Scenery to FSX
FSX Gold Edition is FSX Deluxe, PLUS the Acceleration Add-on Pack. You can't have the acceleration add-on pack unless you already have the service packs installed.
Everything goes in the same place as it always does, no matter what your OS.

Adding Scenery to FSX
Thank you very much. Good to know I don’t need SP 1&2.
