Overview
The Airbus A320 Family Mega Pack brings together the A318, A319, A320 and A321 with 145 liveries and sound sets for CFM56 and International Aero Engines V2500 engines. The Project Airbus models use François Doré’s Special Series V3, version 3.05, with HD virtual-cockpit textures and blue LED lighting.
Features include GPWS, AUTOFLARE, dozens of custom views and jetway and cargo codes assigned to the liveries. Updates add the Honeywell FMC, Jacob Larsen’s reference-speed calculations and voice callouts, and Tomi Koivunen’s corrections to the cockpit flap indication.
Hans Zuidervaart’s Flight Data panel operates doors and cargo holds, changes the simulation rate and displays flight and aircraft-status information. Rob Barendregt’s panel provides automatic pushback with sound. Missing sound gauges for speed callouts and ground handling have also been added.
The aircraft load Cold & Dark, with engines and instruments switched off. François Doré’s manual, supplied in English and French, explains the startup procedure, including bleed-air settings. Ctrl+E is still available for an automatic start with fly-by-wire operating in Normal Law.
The panels require at least FSX SP2; this edition also supports FSX Acceleration, FSX Steam Edition and Prepar3D. The August 2018 update adds Prepar3D v4.3 compatibility and installer v10.5. Version 5.2.5 of dsd_fsx_xml_sound and dsd_p3d_xml_sound_x64 provides working callouts in Prepar3D v4.
FSX startup and configuration
If the overhead panel is missing in FSX, first check that SP2 or Acceleration is installed. If the aircraft does not load Cold & Dark, or its engines stop just after take-off, an airborne default flight may be responsible, including the original Friday Harbor ultralight flight.
- Create a flight on the ground with your chosen aircraft and airport. Switch off the engines, battery and ignition.
- Save it with the option to make it the default flight, then close FSX.
- Open FSX.CFG in Notepad. On Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 10, its folder is
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX. On Windows XP, useC:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX. - Add
DisablePreload=1to the[MAIN]section, save the file and restart FSX.

Release notes
Updated on 10/03/2018: Fixed a wrong indication of flaps in the virtual cockpit plus modification of gauges (created by Tomi Koivunen "project_airbus_modification.zip"). Added the Jacob Larsen V-Speed gauge (automatic calculation of V1, V2, and V3) with oral enunciation. Added the "Flight Data" panel (created by Hans Zuidervaart) which makes it possible to open the doors and luggage compartments with a simple click, also makes it possible to increase the simulation speed and gives general information on the flight and the state of the aircraft. Added a panel which allows automatic Pushback operations and with sounds (created by Rob Barendregt "rcbgh-50.zip")
Updated on 05/09/2017: Auto-installer version 10, now compatible with Prepar3D v4 (tested), update of dsd_fsx_xml_sound and dsd_p3d_xml_sound_x64 in version 5.2.5 (Working callout in P3D v4)
