Prepare an update for a published add-on

Open the add-on in My add-ons. When an approved publication can be used as a reference and no update is already in progress, choose Prepare an update to create a new draft.

1. Enter the new version number.
2. Check the information, images and installation details carried over from the reference publication.
3. Make your changes and explain what was fixed or added.
4. Check simulators, requirements and rights, then send the new version for review.

Preparing the draft does not change the public version. It remains separate from the update in preparation, and earlier publications appear in the version history.

If an update already exists, the area offers an action to resume it, follow its review or correct it. Use that action instead of creating a second submission for the same change. Storage limits still apply to the add-on as a whole.
