This document describes the hierarchy for modeling a jetway in Flight Simulator X.
To replace the default jetway with a new model for a specific airport, refer to the Compiling BGL document.
The screen shot shows the default jetway. This one design is used throughout the simulated world. There is a performance cost in rendering animated jetways, so they only appear when the Scenery Setting is set to the maximum. |
A jetway does not have to contain all of the bones shown below, but it must contain the three IK handles. The three IK handles are named IK MainHandle, IK SecondaryHandle and IK WheelsGroundLock, and control the animation.
