Airbus A340-200 Aerolineas Argentinas FSX & P3D

Thomas Ruth's Airbus A340-200 for FSX and Prepar3D wears Aerolíneas Argentinas colours. The package supports Prepar3D v4 and includes a fully modelled 3D virtual cockpit specific to the A340, with CFM56-5 engine sounds by Ismail Zayan Shakeeb and Ravish Daby.

The September 2018 rebuild adds an FMC, Autoland system, Airbus GPWS, Flight Data and V-speed gauges, ground handling and cabin announcements. Virtual-cockpit gauge issues were also corrected. Read Autoland_Manual_v21.pdf before using automatic landing.

The combination of flight deck, sounds and livery gives this version its long-haul character. It suits intercontinental route planning, allowing time for the climb, cruise and descent of an aircraft in this category.

The A340 belongs to the widebody family developed alongside the A330. The two share a similar overall layout, but the A340 has four engines instead of two. The -200 was one of the family's earliest variants.
