Overview
Anthony Lynch recreates Hamilton Airport — YHML in western Victoria for FSX and Prepar3D. Custom 3D objects were built from airport photographs, and roughly 40 km² of one-metre-per-pixel photoreal ground textures surround the facilities.
The main runway is paved and lit, while the cross runway is gravel. Enter YHML in the airport-selection ICAO field to start there.
The scenery’s supplied references are: runway 17/35 at 1,404 × 30 m, red-gravel runway 10/28 at 1,233 × 30 m, Hamilton Traffic CTAF 124.2 MHz, Melbourne Centre 125.8 MHz and HML NDB 203 kHz.
The historical Sharp Airlines Metro services to Adelaide and Essendon described by the author suggest regional routes. The field also provides a starting point for visual navigation towards the Grampians.
