Overview
This package combines Ray Smith’s Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (VTBS), version 1.5, and KT-Designs Scenery’s Don Muang (VTBD). Both airports have photoreal textures and 3D buildings. Don Muang has the higher level of graphical detail, so the two sceneries differ in visual finish.
Suvarnabhumi lies about 25 km east of central Bangkok in Samut Prakan province. It opened to its main commercial traffic in September 2006 and serves as the capital’s major international gateway. Select airport code VTBS to start a flight there.
Don Muang is north of Bangkok. Its military origins date to 1914, with commercial services following in 1924. It closed when Suvarnabhumi opened and reopened in March 2007. Search for VTBD in the simulator to visit the city’s older airport.
