Overview

This Boeing B-52H CONECT is a conversion for FSX and 32-bit Prepar3D: it does not work in FS2004 or Prepar3D v4 and later. David Robles tested the conversion in FSX Gold/Acceleration, Prepar3D v2.5 and Prepar3D v3, using AlphaSim’s original model.

The update includes new DDS liveries, base bump maps, an FSX .air file, additional camera views and HD virtual-cockpit textures. The cockpit model’s transparency problem has been corrected.

The digital flight deck includes FSX-coded gauges and subpanels, default and custom GPS options, and a working traffic radar.

On the real aircraft, CONECT stands for Combat Network Communications Technology, an upgrade to communications and electronics. The US Air Force article of 17 July 2013 describes the programme.
