Overview
This Boeing E-767 depicts Japan’s 84-3504 using Hiroshi Igami’s SkySpirit2010 model in a package assembled by Rikoooo. It uses Alejandro Rojas Lucena’s enhanced 737 virtual cockpit, with Chris Evans’s brown textures to bring its appearance closer to a 767 flight deck. The 2D panel and instruments are by Philipe Wallaert.
Cockpit equipment includes an FMC, GPWS, switches for the LCD screens, EICAS, PFD and MFT, autobrake and cabin lighting. The pilots’ windows open. Right-click the wiper switch to operate the wipers, which have a rain effect. Night textures and custom 767 sounds are supplied.
The exterior features high-resolution textures, dynamic wing flex, nosewheel steering, independent suspension, tilting bogies and rolling wheels. Control surfaces, trim, passenger doors, ground spoilers and thrust reversers with blocker doors are animated. Rudder locking, high-speed locking of the low-speed ailerons, ground-service vehicles, full night lighting and crash effects are also included.
The 23 October 2020 update adds PBR rendering for Prepar3D v4 and v5. In FSX and Prepar3D, it introduces the brown cockpit textures, revised GPWS and new instruments, repairs exterior lighting and enables control of the external radar through the Utility and Outside Radar panel.
The real E-767 combines a 767-200 airframe with an airborne surveillance and control system derived from the E-3 Sentry. The external radar control described here concerns the add-on’s animated model.
