Overview

This fix requires Prepar3D v3, Windows 7, 8 or 10, and no Prepar3D v1 installation on the computer. Do not use it if Prepar3D v1 is installed.

Rikoooo’s utility allows older installers written for Prepar3D v1 to locate the Prepar3D v3 installation. It copies the version 3 information in the current user’s Windows registry to the location expected by version 1 installers.

Prepar3D v3 files are left unchanged. The fix changes how the installation folder is detected; it does not convert aircraft, scenery or gauges, and therefore does not establish their compatibility with a different simulator version.
