Overview
Wolfgang Piper’s ASH 25 for FS2004 depicts an Open Class performance two-seater. Its large span and long-distance role set it apart from basic training gliders.
The real aircraft, designed by Martin Heide, first flew on 11 May 1986. Its original 25 m wing later grew to 26 m with winglets. The ASH designation refers to manufacturer Alexander Schleicher and designer Heide.
Give simulated flights a distance objective by planning several turning points and tracking the height needed to get home. Route planning and the glides between climbs are central to this aircraft’s role.
