Overview

Thomas Ruth's Airbus A330 MRTT, updated by Chris Evans, Louis Quintero and Rikoooo, is offered for FSX and Prepar3D v4+ with a virtual cockpit and custom sounds. The March 2018 update includes German Tanker and RAAF liveries, HD cockpit textures, updated gauges, a 2D panel, an FMC, CAT II/III Autoland and Airbus GPWS. Its animated refuelling equipment provides a setting for positioning exercises and precision manoeuvres.

The refuelling controls are available only on the virtual cockpit's overhead panel. They are circled in red in the first illustration. Read the English manual to understand their operation before using them.

The real MRTT is derived from the A330-200 and combines aerial refuelling, personnel and cargo transport, and medical evacuation depending on its layout. It can use a rigid boom or hose-and-drogue systems, according to the operator's chosen configuration.

Its basic fuel capacity is 111 tonnes without additional tanks, preserving transport space. That figure describes the real aircraft; consult the package manual for the loads and operations reproduced in the simulator.
