Zenith CH 701 STOL for P3D v4 v5

Kevin Miller/Lionheart Simulations developed the Zenith CH 701 in cooperation with Zenith Aircraft Corporation, using the manufacturer’s CAD files. This former commercial product is offered free for Prepar3D v4.4, v4.5 and v5.

Five high-definition liveries, PBR materials representing aluminium skin and 4K textures cover the model. Lower-resolution textures are included to reduce the graphics load. The interior features 3D instruments and a 2D panel; animations include flexible landing gear and a detailed pilot.

The represented engine is a 100 hp Rotax. Large tyres and linked aileron/flap surfaces reflect the aircraft’s STOL purpose. According to the developer, real CH 701 pilots and owners evaluated the flight dynamics.

Aaron Swindel supplied sounds recorded from a real CH 701. The package also contains scenery for Mexico Memorial Airport, home to the Zenith factory, and a PDF aircraft manual.
