Cessna 172 Amphibian G1000

Take off from a runway and finish the flight on a lake. Bagolu's amphibious Skyhawk adds Wipline 2350 floats with retractable wheels, Sportsman leading-edge cuffs, a 210 hp engine and flap settings of 0°, 10°, 20° and 40°. It appears as a separate aircraft in the hangar.

This download contains the G1000 edition. Version 1.5.0 updates it to the Working Title G1000 NXi used from Sim Update 10. Keep Asobo's C172 G1000 installed: the mod uses its resources, including shared sounds. The separate Classic edition, which requires the premium C172, is not included.

Before a simulated water landing, check that the wheels are retracted, using the cockpit gear indicator and the indicator on the float. Extend them for a runway landing, and raise the water rudders for land operations. The cockpit provides the gear and water-rudder controls; differential braking helps with ground steering.

Six selectable liveries are included: blue and grey, red, green, Wendy, I-GDRX and I-GNHR. The package retains its three-bladed propeller, the differential-braking correction from 1.4.2 and the original author's files. Livery credits include ANN0V and 270INC; the flight model builds on work by reaperS73, with Asobo's water-handling model.

This is an MSFS 2020 addon. Bagolu has stopped developing it and explicitly limits compatibility to that simulator. MSFS 2024 is not supported. Earlier Bagolu notes describe excessive power and unfinished flight-model tuning.

Install bagolu-c172-amphib-g1000 in the MSFS 2020 Community folder. Sim Update 10 or later is required for the G1000 NXi update; manifest minimum version is 1.27.21. Move any manually installed copy of the same package out of Community before using the Hub. Hub must not overwrite unmanaged files.

Development discontinued; MSFS 2020 only. The author's earlier flight-model notes mention unfinished tuning. The Classic variant is a separate download and is not included. Keep the Asobo C172 G1000 installed for shared resources.
