Overview

Thalixte’s scenery covers Paris, La Défense and Saint-Denis. Seven sectors bring together the buildings, banks of the Seine and major landmarks, from central Paris to the La Défense towers and Stade de France.

Photogrammetry preserves the shape of rooftops and city blocks. Multiple levels of detail and a texture atlas reduce the model’s load.

Compatibility

Scenery originally created for MSFS 2020, with MSFS 2024 compatibility declared on the author’s listing.

Installation advice

If old thalixte-paris5 or thalixte-paris6 folders were manually installed from an earlier release, remove those old copies before using the current sectors.

Known limitations

This scenery uses substantial memory and has holes where photogrammetry data is missing. The author uses 32 GB of RAM and does not guarantee operation with less memory. In MSFS 2024, users report missing night lighting and possible conflicts with handcrafted landmarks in the default scenery.

Release notes

Version 1.6 fixes floating objects near Maison de la Radio. Version 1.5 adapts the scenery to World Update IV.
