Présentation

An open-air terminal, palm-lined apron and nearby island landmarks give this scenery its character. Mkvy’s airport replacement covers Koh Samui, VTSM, in the Gulf of Thailand. The package includes the airport buildings, ground markings and surrounding scenery in a single module.

Around the terminal

The gallery shows the covered waiting areas, baggage carousel, clock tower, control tower and fire station. Beyond the airfield, the scenery includes Wat Khao Hua Jook and the Big Buddha area, with a pier and ferry. The author credits MakeHuman for the human models.

Before you fly

Search for VTSM in the simulator’s world map. The airport has runway 17/35, with access that can require a backtrack and a turn at the runway end. The author reports that AI traffic and ATC taxi guidance may not handle this arrangement correctly; do not rely on the guidance ribbon alone to find your way.

This is the author’s V1 SU7 release for MSFS 2020, published in November 2021. It is not a current airport-layout update, and MSFS 2024 compatibility is not confirmed. Keep only one replacement of this airport active to avoid overlapping scenery. Aircraft shown in the gallery are not included.

The original approach video shows an airliner arriving at the airport.

Compatibilité

Author V1 SU7 release for MSFS 2020. MSFS 2024 compatibility is not confirmed; no simulator flight test is claimed.

Conseils d’installation

Limites connues

AI traffic and ATC taxi guidance may mishandle runway backtracking, as reported by the author. Airport state from the 2021 release; no confirmed MSFS 2024 compatibility. Aircraft in screenshots are not included.
