Pyongyang International Airport (ZKPY)

Explore the terminal, apron and surrounding runways at Sunan with kui’s recreation of Pyongyang airport as it appeared in 2021. The scenery adds custom buildings and ground textures, with a separate satellite-imagery module credited to ARC.

The airport and its surroundings

The terminal has three positions with jetways and two parking gates, alongside additional apron parking. The model also includes the bridge across the river towards the older runway. In the airport state represented by the author, runway 17/35 is active and 01/19 is closed. The gallery shows the terminal by day and night, the runway surfaces and the surrounding terrain.

Before your arrival

Search for ZKPY in the simulator’s world map. The original scenery note gives ILS localizer 17 as 109.5 MHz, identifier IGE, and localizer 35 as 109.9 MHz, identifier LW. That note is supplied with the download for reference when preparing your approach in this scenery.

Both required modules are included: the airport and its satellite ground imagery. Keep them together and avoid another active copy of the same scenery. Aircraft visible in the screenshots are not included.

This is version 1.0 for MSFS 2020. It represents the 2021 airport layout, not a current airport update. Jetway animation and MSFS 2024 compatibility are not confirmed.

Use Rikoooo Hub to install both included modules: the airport and its satellite imagery. Remove or disable another ZKPY scenery before installation to avoid duplicates. Search for ZKPY in the simulator; the original ILS note is included in the documentation.
