Weather Presets Pack

Choose a weather situation before departure and return to it for another flight. This pack by DoNotBeOnFire adds 16 selectable presets to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, including fog, snow, strong winds and soaring conditions.

The 14 regular presets are Atmospheric, Breezy, Deicing, Fog, Light Snow Showers, Lying Snow, Shallow Mist, Small Heavy Showers, Small Thunderstorms, Snow Showers, Soaring Ridge, Soaring Thermals Light Wind, Thunderstorms and Windy. They offer starting points for reduced-visibility approaches, windy departures, flights over snow-covered terrain or gliding sessions.

Two additional experimental presets are included: Hurricane KMIA, around Miami International, and Supercell EGLC, around London City. Their location matters: choose the corresponding area to explore these scenarios. They do not follow real weather reports.

After installation, restart the simulator and select a DNBOF preset from its weather menu. Choose a preset instead of live weather. You can then adjust the conditions in the simulator to suit your flight. The Deicing entry is an artificial workaround for simulated icing, not a realistic weather condition or an aircraft de-icing procedure.

This release contains version 1.10.1 from the author's source repository. The package files are preserved unchanged, with the author's license and source information supplied separately. It requires MSFS 2020 build 1.27.21.0 or later and the simulator's fs-base-ui component, version 0.1.10 or later.

The gallery combines the author's screenshots with the images from the previous Rikoooo page. Some older pictures illustrate presets that have since changed; the list above describes the files supplied here.

For MSFS 2020, as declared by the author. MSFS 2024 compatibility is not announced in the reviewed source. In-simulator testing by Rikoooo is pending.

Rikoooo Hub installs dnbof-weather-presets-pack in the MSFS 2020 Community folder. Restart the simulator, then select a DNBOF preset in the weather menu. Keep the simulator dependency fs-base-ui 0.1.10 or later installed. Remove or move an existing unmanaged copy before installing the Hub version.

These are selectable weather presets, not a live weather service. Older gallery images may show earlier preset versions. The Deicing preset uses artificial conditions.

Version 1.10.1 from author commit 94d1737fec160f89d7af8dc67d4fc0de85901c00. The source package is preserved unchanged. The older ZIP bundled in the repository was not used.
