Overview
Allied FS Group’s Caravelle III SE-210 comes with eight historical liveries: Air France (1979), Air Inter (1968), Swissair (1962), French Air Force (1990), Sweden’s Le Caravelle Club (2008), Thai Airways International (1970), Alitalia (1960) and Air Viet-Nam (1966).
Originally created for FS2004, the model was adapted by Rikoooo for FSX SP2, Acceleration and FSX Steam through changes to aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg. Disable DirectX 10 Preview in FSX’s graphics settings.
No virtual cockpit is included: use the 2D panel. It has dedicated instruments, accompanied by custom sounds and animations. Documentation includes operating procedures, checklists and reference information.
To learn the panel, open c3afv1-p01-gb.htm in the aircraft folder, or access the documentation through the Windows Start menu. Reading it is particularly useful before preparing a first flight.
Sud-Aviation designed the Caravelle as a twin-engine jet airliner for short- and medium-haul services. Rear-mounted engines give it its distinctive outline; the family was produced between 1958 and 1973.
