Overview
The Beechcraft D18S Amphibian for FSX and Prepar3D includes cargo and passenger models with four liveries. Its virtual cockpit, custom instruments and engine sounds are strong points of this amphibious floatplane package.
This version is flown from the virtual cockpit only; it has no 2D panel. The 16 February 2018 update introduced a native FSX 3D model compatible with Prepar3D v4 and later, bump and specular maps, two additional liveries and detailed documentation. The flight model was developed to resemble the real aircraft.
The model is by Milton Shupe, instruments by Scott Thomas and sounds by Nigel Richards. Textures are by André Folkers, Urs Burkhardt, Damian Radice and Manfred “Mani” D. Saliger. Bill Ortis modelled the floats; Roman Stoviak provided the water effect and start-gauge correction.
