Boeing KC-97 Stratotanker USAF FS2004

This US Air Force Boeing KC-97 is offered for Flight Simulator 2004 with a virtual cockpit and custom sounds. The package, credited to Tom Gibson, contains one livery.

The real KC-97 was developed from the C-97 Stratofreighter transport. It belongs to the early Strategic Air Command tanker era, before jet aircraft such as the KC-135 took over. Its double-deck fuselage reflects those transport origins.

The speed difference between a propeller-driven tanker and the jet aircraft it supported required operational adaptations. Later KC-97L aircraft received two auxiliary jet engines to improve compatibility.
