Overview
This British Aerospace Nimrod package includes the MR1, MR2 and R1, with several liveries for each model. It is intended to be flown from the virtual cockpit, with a 2D panel also available. The 29 August 2017 update adds a 16:9 widescreen 2D panel and support for Prepar3D v1, v2, v3 and v4.
Brian Franklin (Simshed) created the model, Jim Cooper the cockpit and instrumentation, and Philippe Wallaert and Rikoooo the FSX/Prepar3D adaptation.
Developed from the De Havilland Comet, the Nimrod became a family of specialist Royal Air Force aircraft. Its maritime patrol versions succeeded the Shackleton. Their long overwater missions offer a basis for planning simulated surveillance routes.
