Overview
Blue Sky Scenery recreates Craters of the Moon and its surroundings in Idaho for FSX and Prepar3D v2+. The update dated 18 January 2016 expanded coverage to 18,125 km², replacing the earlier 3,625 km² area.
Photographic textures at 1 metre per pixel are paired with a 10-metre elevation mesh. Lava fields and the terrain of the Snake River Plain provide landmarks for visual flying. Hailey Airport, KSUN, is suggested as a departure point, around 60 miles from the preserve.
Installation: the 2.32 GB download is split into three parts. Extract every file from craters_of_the_moon_nmp.zip into one folder, then run craters_of_the_moon_nmp.exe. The Rikoooo installer registers and activates the scenery; uninstalling restores the previous scenery configuration.
