Overview
Jean-Marie Mermaz’s Dewoitine D.520 for FSX includes the 3D model, virtual cockpit and sounds. Built with Gmax and textured with DXTBmp, the model uses approximately 32,000 polygons and 21,000 vertices.
The seven liveries cover several wartime periods:
- No.73 “Loup Garou”, 2nd Squadron of GC I/3, and No.248 of GC II/7 during the 1940 Battle of France.
- The same No.248 in Vichy markings.
- Two FFI aircraft: Corps Franc Pommiès and Groupe Doret, the latter at Toulouse in October 1944, with French markings and invasion stripes over German camouflage.
- Luftwaffe JG105 and Regia Aeronautica.
The selection follows changes of operator and markings for the same fighter type, extending beyond a single French scheme.
