Overview
William Ortis and Lionheart Creations’ Fairchild 24-R2 for FS2004 is presented here as a floatplane. The package includes a 3D cockpit, reflective effects and the sound of an older light aircraft.
The Fairchild 24 family belongs to the light aviation of the 1930s. It was built with several engine types: R versions used an in-line Ranger, while W versions had a radial engine. That difference accounts for their noticeably different nose shapes.
The float-equipped model provides a setting for sightseeing over lakes and coastal areas, with the atmosphere of a pre-war touring aircraft.
