Overview
The Fokker 27 family package brings together the F-27 Mk200 and Mk500, Fairchild F-27A and Fairchild-Hiller FH-227. Six liveries and custom sounds accompany these regional twin-turboprop variants.
The flight deck is 3D only: no 2D panel is supplied. Björn Kesten converted the FS9 models to native FSX format using Mike Stone’s original source files. The package, also modified by Tom Gibson and Bernward Bockheim, is compatible with Prepar3D v4.5.
The real F27 was developed in the Netherlands for short-haul services, succeeding aircraft such as the DC-3. It first flew on 24 November 1955, and Aer Lingus received its first example in November 1958.
