Overview
Daan Kaasjager, also known as Dutcheeseblend, supplies two Fokker D.21 models representing the 1938 and 1940 configurations. Created in Blender, they include high-definition textures, animations, effects, custom gauges and sounds.
Version 2.0 adds the 219, 221, MLM, 229 and 236 liveries, a revised manual, and improvements to the flight dynamics and FD. It corrects several version 1.00 issues and adds VRS TacPack support. TacPack is optional: the aircraft can be used without it. The September 2018 update adds Prepar3D v4 compatibility.
In FSX, to display 2048-pixel textures, replace TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024 with TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=2048 in FSX.CFG, normally located in %APPDATA%/Microsoft/FSX. Read the supplied DCB Fokker D.21 Pilot’s Notes.pdf.
The real D.XXI was designed for the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army Air Force and notably served in the Netherlands and Finland during the early part of the Second World War.
