Overview
Shehryar “Shez” Ansari’s Fort Wayne International Airport scenery is for FSX and FSX Steam Edition. A separate Prepar3D version is available. Search for KFWA to visit this Indiana airport.
Both major general-aviation facilities are modelled: Fort Wayne Aero Center in the central area and Atlantic Aviation northwest of the main terminal. The scenery also represents the Indiana Air National Guard’s 122nd Fighter Wing base, with the A-10 Thunderbolt IIs stationed there in the period depicted.
The airport originated as the Second World War military base Baer Field. Its civil facilities, cargo activity and military area provide a shared setting for general-aviation, transport and training flights.
