Overview
Ivo Verlaeckt’s GAF Nomad 22B represents an Australian high-wing twin-turboprop designed for short takeoffs and landings. Three liveries are included, one associated with the Australian television series “The Flying Doctors”.
Built with FSDS v3.5 for FSX and compatible with Prepar3D v4.5, the model animates the control surfaces, wheels and nosewheel steering, doors and propellers. A 2D panel uses standard gauges.
The author concentrated on the virtual cockpit for VR use, working with FSX-FlyInside and an Oculus Rift in his own setup. Visibility, instrument readability and access to switches were central to the design.
Some functions remain incomplete or do not yet work as intended. The readme.txt explains the model’s status and the author’s offer to share source files with contributors able to help develop it further.
