Overview
Milton Shupe and Scott Thomas’s Grumman C-1A Trader was converted for FSX and Prepar3D by Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations. The package includes three liveries, HD textures, dedicated gauges and custom sounds.
Its tailhook is functional and animated. Assign a keyboard command to the tailhook in the simulator before using it; this is part of preparing the aircraft for carrier-landing practice.
Derived from the S-2 Tracker anti-submarine aircraft, the C-1 carried personnel and supplies to US Navy aircraft carriers. It first flew on 19 January 1955, entered service the following year and retired from Navy service in 1988.
