Overview
Piglet Conrad's Lockheed T-33 T-Bird for FS2004 comes with three liveries, including NASA colours. Rikoooo corrected the sounds, including the engine's response as power increases. The model offers approachable handling and relatively modest speed for a jet.
The real T-33 is a two-seat trainer derived from the F-80 fighter. Lockheed lengthened the fuselage to accommodate the second cockpit, and the aircraft first flew in 1948. That ancestry explains its fighter-like shape, although training was its principal role.
In the simulator, it suits an introduction to early jets: climb, level flight, turns and a return to the airfield before planning longer navigation flights.
