Overview
Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon Gold Release brings together eight models and twelve liveries. Its virtual cockpit, 2D panel and 3D cabin are accompanied by custom sounds and gauges.
The 11 June 2019 update introduces a native FSX model, new textures and compatibility with Prepar3D v4 and later versions covered by the documentation. The installer is version 10.5; read the supplied documents before learning the aircraft.
The package is by Milton Shupe, Tom Falley, Nigel Richards, Steve Bryant and Scott Thomas, with pilot figures by Jan Visser.
The real PV-2 developed from the PV-1 Ventura for maritime patrol and bombing. The National Naval Aviation Museum highlights its increased load-carrying capacity and heavier armament compared with the Ventura.
