Overview
Tim “Piglet” Conrad’s Northrop XP-56 Black Bullet includes a detailed 3D model, a virtual cockpit with clickable custom gauges and high-definition interior and exterior textures. Sounds and a USAAF 1944 — Prototype Fighter livery are supplied.
Its experimental outline is the attraction: a short fuselage, no conventional horizontal tail and rear-mounted pusher propellers. The real XP-56 encountered development difficulties and never entered operational service.
An example belongs to the National Air and Space Museum collection. The model offers a chance to explore this unusual approach to American fighter design in the 1940s.
