Overview
This FSX and Prepar3D edition of Manuele Villa’s Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero contains four high-resolution Gmax models. It was tested in FSX and Prepar3D v1.
The six liveries cover the Regia Aeronautica (two), A.N.R./R.S.I. (one), Spanish Nationalist Air Force (two) and Italian Co-Belligerent Air Force (one). A paint kit is also included.
The aircraft is flown from the virtual cockpit only, without a 2D panel. Animated parts include the flight controls, propeller pitch, leading-edge flaps and landing gear.
The real SM.79 was a three-engined aircraft with a mixed wood-and-metal structure, used notably for bombing and torpedo operations in the Mediterranean. Its dorsal hump gives it a distinctive profile.
The FS2004 version has its own download page.
