Overview

A toy aircraft brought into MSFS 2020, complete with retractable skis, two jet engines and a cockpit imagined by its creator. Giba720 modelled and textured the aircraft around a Hot Wheels/Matchbox design, with three selectable finishes: Orange, Blue and Azul Airlines.

A different kind of winter flight

The virtual cockpit combines a central navigation display, a standby attitude display and analogue instruments. The supplied gallery shows the cockpit, the retractable ski arrangement and the real toy that inspired the project. Both original sound banks are included.

Start on a snow-covered surface to suit the aircraft’s ski configuration. The author specifies that this model has no wheels or parking brake. It is a fictional aircraft for informal exploration; its handling and instrument markings do not represent a certified real-world type.

Version and installation

Release 2.0.1 adjusts lift, drag and aircraft specifications, and corrects the gear-up indication and airspeed indicator. This is the author’s MSFS 2020 edition. MSFS 2024 compatibility has not been confirmed.

Keep the standard simulator cockpit instruments installed, and check for an older Snow Explorer copy in Community before adding this package. The Hub installs the complete aircraft and makes the accompanying distribution note available with its documentation.

Compatibility

Author release 2.0.1 for MSFS 2020. No author-confirmed MSFS 2024 compatibility or in-simulator flight test is claimed.

Installation advice

Use one active Snow Explorer installation. Original sound banks are included; standard simulator cockpit instruments must remain installed.

Known limitations

Fictional aircraft; no wheels or parking brake. MSFS 2024 compatibility is not confirmed.

Author release 2.0.1, 22 January 2022: lift, drag and specification adjustments; gear-up indication and airspeed-indicator fixes. Original internal manifest 0.1.0 and minimum game version 1.21.18 retained.
