Overview
Rara-Avis Sims’ Whittaker MW6 is an open-cockpit microlight for relaxed, low-speed sightseeing. Craig Richardson based the model on a real aircraft, with feedback from its owner.
The exposed Rotax engine, instruments and wing ribs are modelled in 3D. The aircraft has its own PBR textures, plexiglass and animations. Three liveries are included, among them a shark-mouth scheme.
A multifunction clock is fitted to the panel. Custom camera positions provide views of the instruments and open cockpit.
Compatibility
Freeware edition for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Rara-Avis Sims’ native MSFS 2024 Whittaker MW6 is a separate product.
Release notes
Version 1.3 adds Sim Update 9 compatibility. Earlier updates add the multifunction clock, correct the forward camera view and add a rear-seat occupant.
