The Embraer EMB 312 Tucano is a military training aircraft in tandem and ground attack made ​​by the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer in Sao Jose dos Campos (São Paulo State). Its name is Brazilian military: T-27 for the training version, AT-27 for ground attack version.

Its first flight took place in 1980 and the first deliveries in 1983. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine-A25C 750 hp at the shaft. Its main feature is the elevated position of the teacher in relation to the student and the control handle type gas HOTAS (Hands on Throtle and Stick).
