But I find this web site fantastic and most of the downloads seem to work fine.Unfortunateley it is the ones that you really like that dont
Hello again...FSX in your options menu can run on either DX9 or DX10 Preview/ When FSX was created, it just before the release of DX10, but it runs on DX9 by default. Go to your options menu and make sure the DX10 preview box is not checked. Rikooo aircraft all run DX9 by default. Some are DX10 compatible if they are it will be in the description . There is a payware design available to correct the DX10 preview, but unless you purchase that program, it is better to run FSX on DX9. The DX10 preview option is not functioning correctly, and it effects textures. Windows 7 is a stable platform for FSX and that is what I use for flight simulation. Now you said you are running a straight version of FSX. If I understand this right it means you have one of the first released box editions, or the deluxe version. If that is the case you will need to load SP1 and SP2, or Acceleration must be added. Without that, most of the new freeware and payware will have texture issues. I have FSX gold edition which comes with the acceleration disk. Most likely you will find that unless you checked the DX10 Preview box when you loaded the program, the problem is that FSX is not up to date with the needed service packs. Let me know ...Thanks
