Présentation
Headwind's A339X brings the Airbus A330-900neo to MSFS 2020 and 2024, with cockpit systems derived from FlyByWire and adapted to the larger aircraft. It is a standalone aircraft: a separate A32NX installation is not required.
Cockpit and flight preparation
The aircraft includes an electronic flight bag, SimBrief flight-plan integration and support for Navigraph charts. The exterior uses 4K PBR textures, wing flex and native simulator effects. SimBrief and Navigraph require their own accounts; chart access follows Navigraph's subscription conditions.
Headwind continues to develop the aircraft. Its technical specification includes both implemented systems and development targets, so it should not be read as a list of fully simulated real-aircraft functions.
Installation and companion software
Rikoooo Hub installs the aircraft in Community for the selected simulator. Keep one installation of the A339X: if another installer manages an existing copy, remove or disable that copy with its own tool before installing through the Hub. Use liveries made for the Headwind A339X; airline paints shown in promotional images may be separate downloads.
Some external features, including the remote MCDU and local documents, use SimBridge. Install and run this optional companion separately; the aircraft package does not install or start it. An existing compatible SimBridge installation can be retained. The author's normal checklist and a bilingual SimBridge guide are included in the documentation.
Version and compatibility
This is stable version 0.8.1, released on 10 January 2026. Headwind introduced MSFS 2024 compatibility in version 0.8.0 using the existing Community package, rather than a native 2024 edition. See the author's aircraft page for installation information and project updates.
Created by Headwind Simulations, with contributions from FlyByWire Simulations, Project Mega Pack and FTSiM+. The A330neo model is credited to Shervin Ahooraei of Project Sky. Original notices and licences accompany the download.
Compatibilité
Headwind announced MSFS 2024 support in version 0.8.0 as a non-native package. This stable 0.8.1 release uses Community in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Rikoooo has not flight-tested this release.
Conseils d’installation
Use Rikoooo Hub to install the A339X in the selected simulator. It is a standalone aircraft; a separate A32NX installation is not required. Keep the required default airliner instruments and aircraft resources installed. If you installed the A339X outside Rikoooo Hub, remove or disable that copy first to avoid duplicates. The documentation includes the author's checklist and a bilingual SimBridge guide.
Limites connues
SimBridge must be installed and running separately for external features that use it; the Hub aircraft package does not install or launch it. Airline liveries in promotional screenshots can be separate downloads. Some author technical specifications describe development targets. MSFS 2024 uses the legacy Community package; community reports mention navigation-data conflicts, without identifying the precise aircraft build.
Notes de version
Official stable release 0.8.1, published 10 January 2026. Headwind introduced MSFS 2024 compatibility in version 0.8.0, using the existing aircraft package rather than a native 2024 edition. The release notes for 0.8.1 list only a version number change.
