Antonov An-2

XYZConcorde’s Antonov An-2 includes three variants: the wheeled aircraft, the An-2TP on skis and the An-2V on floats. The cockpit and passenger cabin are modelled, with liveries including Aeroflot, Interflug, Lithuanian Airlines, Air Kazakhstan and Polar Airlines.

The instruments use metric units. Startup involves the electrical circuits, PO-500 inverter and radial-engine controls. Sounds are by Gary Jones.

The author’s English manual covers startup, controls, flying references and livery creation. PSD and XCF paintkits accompany it in the documentation.

Enable the flap and trim circuit breakers so their settings are retained. For ADF, enable the PO-500 inverter and ADF circuit breaker, then select КОМП. Use the mouse wheel for multi-position switches.

The author identifies unresolved flight-dynamics issues. Not all real-aircraft performance figures in the manual are reproduced in the simulator.

Version 1.1 adds thumbnails and YourBunnyWrote’s Polar Airlines livery.
