Curtiss P-40 Tomahawk

A shark-mouth livery, a camouflaged airframe and a compact analogue cockpit: Fsadni’s freeware Tomahawk brings the outline of this wartime fighter to MSFS 2020.

What is included

The package contains one livery, the exterior and cockpit models, the aircraft configuration, textures and sound banks. The screenshots show the supplied camouflage from above and below, together with the instrument panel and cockpit details. No separate payware P-40 is needed.

A work in progress

The author presents this aircraft as unfinished. Treat it as a freeware model to explore, rather than a fully reproduced set of wartime cockpit procedures. A runway start is a practical starting point if you do not want to rely on an unverified cold-and-dark sequence.

The author’s page calls the release 1.01; Rikoooo’s existing distribution labels it 1.0.1. The migration retains that distribution, with a small cockpit XML correction and the missing instrument-needle texture restored from the same author’s identical component. The models and flight settings are unchanged.

Keep MSFS 2020’s standard aircraft and instrument resources installed, and avoid keeping a second copy of this aircraft in Community. Compatibility with MSFS 2024 is not confirmed. Use Rikoooo Hub to download and install the aircraft in MSFS 2020. Keep the standard simulator aircraft and instrument resources installed, and avoid a second copy in Community. The livery, models, textures and sound banks are included; no commercial P-40 is required.

Unfinished author model. Do not assume every cockpit control or a full cold-and-dark procedure is implemented. The inherited DA62 checklist is not a P40-specific manual. No confirmed MSFS 2024 support.

Existing Rikoooo 1.0.1 edition retained (author label 1.01; original manifest 0.1.0). One XML syntax correction and one missing needle texture restored from an exact matching author component; index updated. Flight settings and models unchanged.
