Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4

A narrow cockpit, analogue instruments and a camouflaged exterior give this freeware fighter its character. Fsadni’s Bf 109 E-4 includes its cockpit and exterior models, one livery and sound banks for the player aircraft and AI traffic.

## In the cockpit

The canopy slides behind the pilot instead of opening sideways. Gear and flap controls sit on the dashboard. These are the author’s practical adaptations for the simulator, rather than historically exact controls. This package contains one aircraft variant; the alternative markings offered separately by the author are not included.

## Before your first flight

This remains a work-in-progress release. Handling and animation problems have been reported, and no flight-model fix is included here. Keep the standard MSFS pilot and aircraft resources installed, and disable an older copy of this same add-on before installing it again.

Version 1.0.7 is offered for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.

## MSFS 2024: community-reported compatibility

One user reports that the aircraft runs through Addon Linker, but their yoke’s mixture control does not respond. The comment does not identify the add-on version or simulator build. Other users report handling and animation problems without naming the simulator. Support has not been confirmed by the author or flight-tested by Rikoooo. The original project page contains its development notes.

Keep the default MSFS pilot models and aircraft behaviour resources installed. Disable or uninstall an older copy of this same aircraft through its manager to avoid duplicate Community installations. The player and AI sound banks are included.

Work in progress. A user running MSFS 2024 reports an unresponsive yoke mixture control; its cause is not established. Other reports describe a frozen propeller, rudder animation and difficult handling, without identifying the simulator. The reported add-on versions are unspecified. One BASE variant only; no flight-model fix, weapons functionality or alternative marking package is claimed.

Existing Rikoooo version 1.0.7, corresponding to the author’s 1.07 release. Original internal manifest 1.0.4 retained. Packaging correction: one missing space in BF109_INT.xml and its indexed size, without changes to flight settings.
