Salty Boeing 747-8I

This open-source modification develops the systems and cockpit of the Asobo 747-8 supplied with MSFS 2020. It uses the simulator's aircraft resources, so keep the default 747-8 installed.

Stable version 0.6.0 revises the primary flight display, adds fuel and payload controls and improves navigation, cockpit switches and EICAS messages. Automatic fuel management is available as an option and is disabled by default. The package includes the Salty livery alongside the aircraft's existing presentation.

This is the author's latest stable release, dated 20 April 2023. Development builds form a separate channel and may differ from the package offered here. MSFS 2024 compatibility has not been confirmed by the author; this listing is therefore limited to MSFS 2020.

If another installer already manages a salty-747 folder, move that installation out of Community before using the Hub. Use liveries intended for the Salty model and keep only one copy of this modification installed. The Hub does not overwrite unmanaged files.

For a guided start from a powered-down cockpit, follow the French cold-and-dark tutorial, which includes English subtitles. Simulator or development-version changes may affect individual steps.

MSFS 2020 only. No author-confirmed MSFS 2024 compatibility found. Default Asobo 747-8 and common aircraft content required. No simulator test by Rikoooo is claimed.

Install the salty-747 folder in MSFS 2020 Community. Remove or move a copy managed by another installer yourself before using the Hub. Keep the Asobo 747-8 installed. The Hub does not overwrite unmanaged files.
