Rikoooo Hub

How do I free disk space used by Hub downloads?

  • Verified on

Answer

Hub keeps some downloads so it can reuse them. They take up space in addition to your installed add-ons. You can remove these files from the application.

  1. Wait for any downloads, installations or updates in progress to finish.
  2. Open Settings > Application, then expand disk space (Espace disque in French).
  3. Check the sizes shown for Téléchargements d’add-ons (add-on downloads) and Mises à jour du Hub (Hub updates).
  4. Choose the removal action for the files you no longer need.

Which action should I choose?

  • Supprimer les téléchargements d’add-ons removes archives kept by Hub. Files already installed in your simulator stay in place.
  • Supprimer les fichiers de mise à jour removes downloaded Hub installers. It does not uninstall the application.
  • Supprimer les téléchargements incomplets, when shown, removes unfinished Hub update downloads.

Afterwards, check the displayed sizes and any error message. If a removed file is needed later, Hub will have to download it again.

This cleanup does not recover the space occupied by the add-ons themselves. To remove an add-on you no longer use, follow the Hub uninstall guide. Use these actions instead of manually deleting Hub or simulator folders.
